Ingredient
Fansidar is an antimalarial agent, each ampoule of 2.5ml containing 500 mg N1-(5,6-dimethoxy-4-pyrimidinyl) sulfanilamide (sulfadoxine) and 25 mg 2,4-diamino-5-(p-chlorophenyl)-6-ethylpyrimidine (pyrimethamine).
Caution
Carefully read product label, and ensure you follow strictly on your doctor's advice. Fansidar should not be given to infants less than 2 months of age because of inadequate development of the glucuronide-forming enzyme system.
