Fleming is a combination antibiotic containing amoxicillin trihydrate, a I-lactam antibiotic, with potassium clavulanate, a I-lactamase inhibitor. This combination results in an antibiotic with an increased spectrum of action and restored efficacy against amoxicillin-resistant bacteria that produce I-lactamase.
Direction for Use
Child: Based on amoxicillin dose: 125-250 mg every 8 hours. Children weighing <40 kg: 20-40 mg/kg/day in divided doses every 8 hours. Infants <3 months: up to 30 mg/kg/day in divided doses every 12 hours.
